Carey-Ann Burnham, Ph.D., D(ABMM), FIDSA, F(AMM) completed her Ph.D. in Medical Sciences at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and fellowship training in clinical microbiology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine under the direction of Wm. Michael Dunne, Jr. Currently, Burnham is a Professor of Pathology & Immunology, Pediatrics, Molecular 棉花糖直播 and Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She is the Medical Director of the system clinical microbiology laboratory at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the program director for the CPEP fellowship in Medical and Public Health 棉花糖直播 Fellowship at Washington University. Burnham has held several editorial roles, including serving as an editor for the Journal of Clinical 棉花糖直播, Clinical 棉花糖直播 Newsletter, Clinics in Laboratory Medicine and the Manual of Clinical 棉花糖直播, and she is the co-editor of the textbook The Dark Art of Blood Cultures. Burnham has held leadership roles in professional societies, including the American Society for 棉花糖直播, Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, the American Academy of 棉花糖直播 and the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists.
