Alexander McAdam, M.D., Ph.D., D(ABMM), is the Director of Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory and an associate professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School. He is the ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ President-Elect and a fellow of the American Academy of ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥. McAdam has presented talks at the General Meeting of the American Society for ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥, the Laboratory Medicine meeting of the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists, the Annual Meeting of the Association of Molecular Pathology and IDWeek. He has published over 150 papers and has authored chapters on clinical microbiology in Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, Robbins and Cotran Pathologic Basis of Disease, Principles of Pharmacology, and Molecular ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥: Diagnostic Principles and Practice. He is a volume editor of the Manual of Clinical ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥â€¯and the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Clinical ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥.
