Natalie Prystajecky, Ph.D. is a microbiologist at the British Columbia CDC Public Health Laboratory (BCCDC PHL), where she oversees the Environmental ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ and the Molecular and Microbial Genomics laboratories. She is also Clinical Associate Professor in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
In her clinical roles and research endeavours, she uses emerging technologies, such as genomics, to improve routine surveillance and outbreak investigations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she has provided leadership at the BCCDC PHL to implement genomics and explore opportunities and challenges for next generation sequencing of SARS-CoV-2.
