Dr. Kishana Taylor is a postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Taylor is interested in viral evolution, especially in arboviruses, as well as virus-host and virus-vector interactions. Her current research focus is investigating the role of monocytes in the development of severe COVID-19. Additionally, Dr. Taylor is interested in pandemic preparedness and management of emerging infectious diseases using social-justice and equity-centered approaches. She is the Co-founder and President of the Black Microbiologists Association (also known as Black in ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥).
