Ericka C. Hendrix, Ph.D., is an associate professor and the director of the Master of Science in Molecular Pathology program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). She has been a faculty member in the Department of Laboratory Sciences and Primary Care since 2004 and is board-certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology in Molecular Biology. Hendrix also served as the laboratory manager for the TTUHSC laboratory for molecular diagnostics for 13 years.
She is an active member in the field of molecular diagnostics and is currently serving on 2 national committees in the field of molecular diagnostics; the Association for Genetic Technologist and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Her career goal is to enhance health care through science-based discovery of genetic factors as they relate to improving health and preventing disease, and to educate the next generation of cutting-edge molecular biologists.
