Cheston Cunha, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. He acts as an associate program director for the Infectious Disease Fellowship at Brown and Co-Course Leader of the Medical Student Infectious Disease Course. He is also assistant professor of medicine at Brown University Alpert School of Medicine. He has received the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching award from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University on numerous occasions, as well as the Beckwith Family Teaching Award and the Steven Opal Teaching Award. He has contributed over 45 articles and 65 book chapters to the medical literature. He serves as editor of the books: Antibiotic Essentials, Antimicrobial Stewardship: Principles & Practice, Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship in Critical Care Medicine and Schlossberg’s Clinical Infectious Disease
